Artist's Statement
When sculpting a portrait, I try to capture the character and essence of the person in addition to the physical likeness.
In other pieces, I hope to create a sculpture that connects on an aesthetic as well as an emotional level, whether to convey joy, sorrow, humor or other aspects of humanity. I think art has the ability to unite people and enjoy being a part of that process.
